  • Travis believes the mistake makes the ring more unique.
  • Travis’ girlfriend Taylor Swift watched the ring ceremony via livestream.

Travis Kelce doesn’t think the Kansas City Chiefs dropped the ball with their 2024 Super Bowl ring. The NFL star talked about the typo that many fans have noticed on the $40,000 ring, celebrating the team’s fourth Super Bowl win.

As shown on the Chiefs’ website, the ring lists all four playoff opponents they faced on their way to victory. However, it incorrectly identifies the Miami Dolphins—whom they played on January 13—as the seventh seed instead of the sixth.

During the June 19 episode of the New Heights podcast, Travis’ older brother Jason Kelce pointed out the ‘one major little goof’ on the ring and asked if Travis planned to ‘get it fixed.’ Travis replied, ‘I don’t give a s–t. Does anybody care?’ He went on to say that he thinks the gaffe ‘makes it more exclusive’ and that it means nothing to him.

The rings were revealed at a star-studded ceremony in Missouri on June 13. Although Travis’ girlfriend, Taylor Swift, couldn’t attend due to her Eras Tour in the United Kingdom, she joined a livestream of the event to see the ring. The piece of jewelry features more than 500 diamonds totaling 14.8 carats, along with 38 rubies, 17 miniature gold leaves, and an etching of coach Andy Reid’s handwritten game-winning play.

Despite having three of the Chiefs’ four Super Bowl wins under his belt, or rather on his hand, Travis isn’t considering retirement just yet. ‘I love playing this game at the highest level possible and I know I can still go out there and mow down dudes in the end zone,’ he told Jason. ‘The moment that I can’t do that, I think that’s when I’m just gonna be like, “Alright. What am I doing this for?”‘

Travis shared how much he enjoys ‘catching a ball, splitting a bunch of defenders, and getting a huge first down when nobody expected me to do it.’

Travis Kelce has accepted the ring’s typo as a unique feature, embracing it with humor and confidence.
