- Despite the chatter, Tinx’s excitement for her book remains strong.
Tinx, a popular TikToker known as the “Big Sister,” is the talk of the town thanks to her upcoming debut novel. But not all the chatter is flattering. Rumours are swirling about her possibly hiring a ghostwriter for her book, stirring quite a conversation online.
A TikTok video, dated April 2, kicked off the speculation. One user questioned if Tinx truly wrote “Hotter in the Hamptons” herself or if the true writer was hidden away for convenience and clout. Screenshots from writer Gabrielle Korn’s website intensified the gossip as the book appeared under her ghostwriting services.
Unfazed, Tinx has addressed the gossip. She admits she collaborated with someone on the book—a queer writer, no less, as the story revolves around a lesbian romance. “Of course I hired a collaborator who’s queer,” Tinx said. “I am not a lesbian. I wanted to nail that part of the storyline.”
@maaltoks and if this video disappears at some point, hypothetically, it’s probably because someone out there has a very powerful legal team
Tinx is no stranger to publishing, having released a nonfiction book in 2023. Openly thankful, Tinx mentioned that her collaborator is the first person thanked in her book’s acknowledgments. No secrets there, according to her.
Despite the rumour mill, Tinx is thrilled about her novel’s release and its planned adaptation into a TV show. “Writing a novel has been my absolute dream forever,” she shared in January. Her excitement isn’t dampened by the chatter, and she’s keen to see her story come to life on screen.
Tinx remains optimistic and committed to sharing her story, regardless of the gossip that surrounds it.
