Karen Huger’s DUI trial verdict left fans buzzing with disbelief.

  • Nine months after a dramatic Maserati crash, Huger stood guilty on almost all charges.
  • Despite escaping a reckless driving charge, a hefty fine and potential jail time loom.

  • The incident saw her swerving across Maryland roads in an ’emotional state’ after a turbulent dinner.

Nine months back, Karen Huger crashed her Maserati in Maryland, and the trial’s conclusion has fans reeling. The Real Housewives of Potomac star was found guilty on most counts, avoiding only a reckless driving charge. Sentencing is slated for January, with a potential $1,000 fine and up to a year behind bars looming large.

Huger’s legal team isn’t thrilled. “Although we are disappointed in the jury’s verdict, we of course respect their decision,” stated attorney A. Scott Bolden, hinting at a possible appeal.

Back in March, the reality TV diva was caught in a wild ride, crashing her 2017 Maserati. The reason? Huger claimed it was due to being “super emotional,” with the dinner discussion about her late mother weighing heavily on her.

In the aftermath, Huger picked up six traffic violations, including negligent and reckless driving and speeding. She later faced DUI and DWI charges, with her car immobilised and needing a tow.

Eyewitnesses in court described Huger’s erratic behaviour at the scene. Her car smelled of alcohol, and EMTs noted her hostility and cursing, a stark contrast to her eventual compliments on the scene.

Bodycam footage revealed a dishevelled Huger, and when asked about drinking, she directed cops to her husband, Ray. She reportedly admitted to having ‘a couple of beers,’ leaving viewers questioning her state during the incident.

Huger’s involvement in The Real Housewives of Potomac since 2016 showcases her openness about personal struggles. She recently reflected on her life’s new phase, embracing opportunities while managing personal difficulties.

In the unfolding drama of Karen Huger’s life, legal battles and personal trials intertwine, leaving a community captivated.
