Nadya Suleman, once known as Octomom, is embarking on a new chapter with her 14 children, stepping back into the limelight with a Lifetime docuseries.

Nadya Suleman, the mother famously known as Octomom, is opening up about her decision to return to the public eye alongside her 14 children. She candidly shared her reasons for participating in a new Lifetime docuseries titled “I Was Octomom: The Natalie Suleman Story.”

The 49-year-old gained fame in 2009 when she gave birth to the first surviving set of octuplets, a monumental event that attracted global attention. However, this unprecedented fame also came with its own set of challenges and misconceptions. “Today, my family and I are taking our life back,” Nadya stated in an interview, expressing her desire to reshape the narrative surrounding her and her family.

Nadya’s story is one of resilience and strength. As a mother of 14, including the now almost 16-year-old octuplets Noah, Josiah, Nariyah, Maliyah, Jonah, Jeremiah, Isaiah, and Makai, she wants to inspire others, particularly women facing their own struggles. She hopes to show them the strength within themselves to move forward in life.

For years, Nadya chose to keep her family out of the spotlight, aiming to ensure their safety and privacy. “I’m not this compartmentalized caricature; I am not Octomom, I’m a mom,” she shared, distancing herself from the media-created persona. But now, as her children grow older, they’re ready to share their lives and perspectives with the world.

The docuseries will give her older children, including Ameerah, Calyssa, Elijah, Caleb, Joshua, and Aidan, a platform to speak publicly for the first time. “They did not want to initially, and neither did I, but they are older now,” Nadya explained. They are choosing to come forward and participate.

The upcoming series will start airing on 8th March, followed by the six-part “Confessions of Octomom” beginning on 10th March. Viewers will get an inside look into the Suleman household, gaining insight into their daily lives and challenges. This comes as Nadya seeks to let go of the “Octomom” image to display a more authentic version of herself and her family.

Nadya’s social media presence reflects the journey she and her family have been on over the years. From celebrating birthdays to everyday moments, her Instagram showcases her life as a mum rather than a media personality. This new docuseries appears to be a natural progression for the Suleman family, aiming to share more than just glimpses through social media.

Nadya Suleman and her children’s return to public life is not just about reclaiming a narrative but also about sharing a story of strength and hope. As they prepare to open their lives to viewers, Nadya seeks to inspire others with her unwavering strength as a mother.
