Mark Zuckerberg is downplaying claims of a massive bunker at his Kauai property, calling it a ‘little shelter’.

  • Reports suggested Zuckerberg was building a huge doomsday bunker in Hawaii, but he says it’s been exaggerated.
  • Bloomberg’s ‘The Circuit’ aired footage where Zuckerberg clarifies the situation.
  • Zuckerberg considered it more of a basement than a grand bunker.
  • The Meta CEO describes his Kauai estate as a ranching project rather than a survival hideout.

Mark Zuckerberg is dismissing the buzz about his alleged doomsday preparations in Hawaii. In an effort to set the record straight, he clarifies that the supposed massive bunker is really just ‘a little shelter’, likening it more to a basement.

The rumour mill started spinning fast after reports emerged that Zuckerberg was creating a sprawling underground space on his Kauai estate. However, in an appearance on Bloomberg’s ‘The Circuit’, he downplayed the chatter, attributing it to wild exaggerations.

With a straight face, Zuckerberg told Emily Chang of ‘The Circuit’ that the whole situation had been blown out of proportion. This, he believes, led people to speculate about a doomsday bunker that doesn’t quite exist the way they imagine.

Despite the seemingly extravagant nature of the shelter, Zuckerberg insists it’s only practical due to the property’s extensive 1,400 acres. Considering this, a 5,000-square-foot addition isn’t as extraordinary as it might sound.

Not stopping at dispelling myths, Zuckerberg also shared his vision for the Kauai property. He described it as a ranch geared towards producing top-quality beef, emphasising that it’s just a fun personal project.

Zuckerberg’s Hawaii hideaway has therefore become the talk of the town, not as a survivalist’s dream, but more a rich man’s idyllic ranching hobby.

Zuckerberg quashes the doomsday bunker rumours with charm and humour.
