With a fourth baby girl on the way, Kylie and Jason Kelce are juggling joy and heartache. Their cherished Irish wolfhound, Baloo, has passed away, leaving a void just a year after their dog Winnie did the same.
Kylie Kelce, who hosts the Not Gonna Lie podcast, shared the sombre news on Instagram. Reminiscing fondly, she described Baloo as the “goofiest, sweetest and most lovable” dog. Baloo’s simplicity was endearing, only desiring carbs and affection, she said.
The news of Baloo’s passing came a day before Kylie’s 33rd birthday, adding a bittersweet tint to the celebrations. Their middle child, Elliotte, 4, reacted to the news with innocence, suggesting Baloo was reuniting with Winnie in heaven.
Kylie and Jason have two other daughters, Wyatt and Bennett, who, along with Elliotte, are processing the family loss in their ways. Jason’s mother, Donna Kelce, extended her sympathy over social media, indicative of the support surrounding the family.
After the loss of Winnie in 2024, the Kelces welcomed another Irish wolfhound named Nessie. Her playful antics were noted by Jason’s brother, Travis, during an episode of their New Heights podcast. The canine addition has softened the loss to some degree.
Interestingly, the couple’s current pet debate revolves around getting a cat, much to Jason’s dismay. Kylie has shared on her podcast her playful plan to one day bring a cat home, adding a touch of humour to their lives amid sorrow.
The Kelces’ journey as a family began with a rocky first date, growing into a relationship they affirmed publicly in 2015. Married in 2018, Kylie continues to express pride in Jason’s dedication, both on and off the football field.
Their family has grown steadily since then, with the arrival of Wyatt in 2019, followed by Elliotte two years later, and Bennett in 2023 shortly after Jason’s Super Bowl face-off against Travis.
Their Instagram chronicles capture jubilant family moments, from holding the prestigious Larry O’Brien trophy to enjoying post-practice treats together.
Despite the backdrop of grief, the Kelce family embraces life’s milestones. As they prepare for their newest member, their current narrative is a blend of remembrance and anticipation.
Baloo’s departure is a poignant moment for Kylie and Jason Kelce, yet in the face of loss, their family grows. Through tears and laughter, they continue to weave new memories, an eternal testament to their resilience.
