  • The condition was rare and required emergency fetal surgery.
  • Despite initial success, the fluid returned, causing more concern.
  • Kourtney turned to positive thinking and prayers for comfort.
  • Rocky was eventually born healthy and thriving.

Kourtney Kardashian recently opened up about a scary health issue her and Travis Barker’s son, Rocky, faced. While she was still pregnant in September, doctors found fluid in Rocky’s lungs, prompting an emergency fetal surgery. Kourtney described the situation as a ‘terrifying scare’ but felt extremely lucky that the condition was caught in time. ‘Thank you, God, for a successful surgery. I’m honestly just so grateful, I have no words,’ she shared.

Although the surgery went well, Kourtney’s fears weren’t entirely alleviated. She revealed that the fluid in Rocky’s lungs started to return. During this stressful period, she watched a documentary called ‘Heal’ that focused on the power of positive thinking and its impact on health. This inspired her to shift her mindset and actively engage in hopeful thinking. ‘I started talking to the baby every day, saying my prayers,’ Kourtney explained. Amazingly, after this change in perspective, the fluid completely disappeared, and she encountered no further complications.

Travis Barker, Rocky’s father, shared his concerns as well. On their way to the hospital, Travis expressed his hopes, saying, ‘I don’t want him to come out early. I want to make sure his lungs are perfect—everything’s perfect.’

Their son Rocky was born on November 1, 2023, healthy and exactly as they had hoped. ‘It’s everything I’ve ever dreamed of,’ Kourtney gushed. ‘Everything we’ve been through to get to this moment, it just feels so surreal.’ She later described her joy, saying, ‘I’m so happy in my blissful baby bubble and the love with Rocky.’

The journey was tough, but Kourtney and Travis are now celebrating their healthy baby, Rocky.
