Gypsy Rose Blanchard is fighting off rumors circulating on social media regarding the paternity of her unborn child. The 32-year-old Munchausen-by-proxy victim had earlier reunited with her ex-boyfriend Ken Urker after parting ways with her husband Ryan Anderson in May. Soon after, she announced her pregnancy.
However, a storm brewed on TikTok as naysayers suggested Ryan might be the father. Gypsy took to social media to post a detailed timeline to quash the rumors. She wrote, ‘Left Ryan March 23rd, had a period April 17th, made love with Ken and only him April 27, 28, 29, 30, conceived on May 4th and positive test on May 24th. KEN IS THE FATHER.’
In a Good Morning America interview, Gypsy was firm that there was no question about Ken being the father. ‘So this is absolutely, 100 percent Ken’s baby,’ she stated. Despite this, some fans remained skeptical, but others defended her, pointing out that the trolls were the ones prying into her private life.
The timing of Gypsy’s pregnancy wasn’t ideal due to her parole situation and ongoing divorce from Ryan. She shared that their first divorce hearing was set for July 29. Gypsy remains hopeful, saying, ‘I take it in stride, move forward and I couldn’t be happier.’
Gypsy also shared how her rough upbringing shaped her views on motherhood in a candid nine-minute YouTube video. Released from prison in December after serving seven years for her part in her mother Claudine ‘Dee Dee’ Blanchard’s death, she’s now seeking to be a mother her child can look up to.
Reflecting on her childhood deceptions, she vowed, ‘All the things that I wanted in a mother, I want to give to this baby. I just want to be a good mother to my child, I want to be everything my mother wasn’t.’
From experiencing cravings for orange juice to bouts of insatiable hunger and emotional outbursts, Gypsy is taking her pregnancy one day at a time. She noted that Ken has been very supportive, joking, ‘Poor Ken, if he breathes wrong I am just [furious].’
Even though the pregnancy was unexpected, Gypsy is excited about this journey, seeing it as a shift in her life’s focus. ‘That tiny little life is a baby, a little tiny human that’s yours and you have to make sure you protect, love, and take care of it,’ she expressed passionately.
With new-found ‘freedom’ and peace given her past traumas, Gypsy is eager to turn over a new leaf and start fresh as a parent.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard remains undeterred by rumors and is optimistic about her new journey into motherhood, ready to move forward.
