Francesca Farago and Jesse Sullivan have embraced the chaos of twin parenting with unmatched resilience.
From the moment Francesca and Jesse started their journey, there was a spark. On their fourth date, the couple discussed the future of their family. Their plans became reality on Nov. 11 with the arrival of their fraternal twins.
This journey wasn’t a walk in the park. Despite laying out a detailed plan, they faced challenges. Following an initial meeting during TikTok’s LGBTQ Trailblazers event, they tackled long-distance dating, a temporary breakup, and a renewed commitment in 2022.
In April 2023, the couple became engaged and postponed wedding plans to prioritize their growing family. Jesse’s openness about being transgender played a role in their IVF journey, which they shared openly on social media, aiming to help others with similar experiences.

Jesse, already a father to 16-year-old Arlo, initiated the IVF process, marking his 34th birthday with the retrieval of eight eggs, resulting in three viable embryos. Francesca then underwent her own IVF round, resulting in eight transferable embryos, despite PCOS challenges.
Their first embryo transfer was unsuccessful, leading to a shared moment of mourning. However, by March, Francesca joyously announced her pregnancy, choosing Transgender Day of Visibility for the big reveal. Jesse’s post echoed their shared excitement.
Weeks later, they confirmed twins were on the way, and the couple eagerly shared every development, from ultrasound updates to rejected baby names (like Afternoon and Piano). Jesse’s past experience as a young parent provided valuable support to Francesca.
One pivotal moment came when a follower’s advice led Francesca to discover a potential pregnancy complication, allowing her to take preventive measures. Despite fears, she was grateful for the connections formed through social media.
By July, a joyous baby shower revealed the twins’ genders—a boy and a girl. The couple further strengthened their bond with a babymoon and finalised a home renovation, all while Francesca candidly shared her pregnancy ups and downs.
November finally brought the twins into the world. Although Francesca faced a challenging delivery, she reflected on the unbreakable bond formed through the shared trials and triumphs of their journey.
Francesca and Jesse’s story is a testament to love, resilience, and the power of community support.
