Brody Jenner’s daughter, Honey Raye Jenner, owes her sweet name to an unexpected source: Jessica Alba’s 2003 film, Honey.
Brody Jenner recently opened up about how he and his fiancé, Tia Blanco, found the perfect name for their little girl. The choice was inspired by the dance film Honey, where Jessica Alba stars as Honey Daniels, a spirited dance instructor chasing big dreams in the world of hip-hop.
During an interview on SiriusXM’s The Julia Cunningham Show, Brody shared that both he and Tia loved the movie, which played a significant role in naming their 17-month-old. “She loved that movie, and I did too,” he revealed. “It’s a great movie, and I don’t know for some reason, ’cause she had another name picked out, Honey just clicked.”
Brody recalled how Tia suggested the name Honey, which immediately resonated with him. “I was kinda like, ‘I really like that.’ Just being able to call your daughter Honey. Her skin, it looks like, it’s like honey,” he explained affectionately.
Reflecting on fatherhood, Brody expressed the profound impact his daughter has had on his life. “She’s just, I mean, she’s my world,” he gushed. “I’m just so in love. It’s crazy. I never knew that I could love something this much.”
Brody’s perspective on children has also changed dramatically. He admitted to once being an annoyed passenger when babies cried on flights but now finds himself offering help instead. “You don’t really understand until you have children,” he said, marvelling at this new outlook.
The experience of fatherhood has brought a newfound sense of purpose to Brody’s life. He credits these changes to the joy his daughter brings him daily. “I feel like I have real purpose,” he added, describing it as the most incredible transformation.
Brody’s relationship with his father, Caitlyn Jenner, has also influenced his approach to parenting. He acknowledged that Caitlyn’s absence during his childhood taught him the importance of being present as a father. “I’m grateful for it,” he noted, understanding it as a positive learning experience.
