Usher has hit a bump in the road during his ‘Past Present Future’ tour. While rehearsing earlier this week, the R&B superstar injured his neck, causing him to reschedule several shows.
According to Usher, he’s been undergoing physical therapy and medical treatments, hoping to bounce back swiftly. But the neck injury isn’t healing as quickly as he’d like, prompting his doctors to advise against performing.
As a result, Usher has postponed two more shows planned for this week in Atlanta, originally scheduled for Friday and Saturday. These shows will now take place in December.
The ‘Past Present Future’ tour was supposed to kick off on Wednesday, but just hours before the first show, Usher announced he needed to take a break to allow his body to heal fully.
He only revealed the specific nature of his injury on Thursday, emphasising the need to be at 100% to deliver the high-quality performance fans expect from him.
Usher remains hopeful to resume his tour by Tuesday in Washington, D.C., provided he gets the rest and treatment necessary.
Fans will have to wait a little longer to see Usher back on stage, but his health and ability to perform at his best take precedence. Here’s wishing him a speedy recovery!
